Announcement: Favourites week coming your way!

Het begin van het nieuwe jaar betekent automatisch ook terugblikken op het voorbije jaar, op persoonlijk gebied maar ook op het gebied van beauty!
Waarschijnlijk worden jullie langs alle kanten gebombardeerd met favourites-posts, en dat zal hier niet anders zijn - haha. Heb jij een post hierover gemaakt? Zet hem zeker in de comments!
Ik vind het enorm fijn om te zien welke producten beautylovers een jaar lang met plezier hebben gebruikt en wil daarom ook mijn 'Heroes & Zero's' met jullie delen!

Chit Chat: OMG It's Christmas!

Hi babes! 

Wow, time really has snuck up on me! December started quite casually for me, as I had a week off from school to prepare my practical training.

After a week of amazing time with 14 2,5year olds it was time to start preparing for my exams! I still had a few hours of school and now I'm starting to recap all my classes in preperation of studying them by heart. 

I went to Disneyland for three days, so now it's go time! With the holidays in between, it's not that easy getting things done & now it's already December 25th!

Moral of the story here: Make the most of the time you have, never take the time with your loved ones for granted!

Have a holly jolly Christmas ;) May all your dreams come true!

& to all of the students: Good luck, believe in yourself because you all can do it! ♥

30 day make-up challenge: week THREE!

As we are getting closer to the beginning of school, it's getting clear to me that I wouldn't be able to keep this kind of schedule during schoolmonths. 
However, I LOVE to blog & to be blogging everyday and seeing your reactions has made my day - every day! 
The faces of the day are most convenient for me to do, as I do my make-up (almost) every day, so why not take a picture of it? As all fellow bloggers will know, reviews ask a lot more time out of the day, so in the future I will try to make sure I find some time in the weekends to review a product for you!

Announcement: Our 30 day make-up challenge!

Hi hunny's!

Heel leuk nieuws voor jullie vandaag, Veerle & ik hebben besloten om de 30 dagen make-up challenge te doen!Deze challenge gaat rond in verschillende vormen dus laat me even verklaren hoe onze versie in zijn werk gaat!

Wij hebben beslist om enkel over make-up te bloggen (niet al te ongewoon) 30 aaneensluitende dagen lang! Niet de gewoonlijke twee posts per week, maar 7 op 7 en dat 30 dagen aan een stuk!

Je kan shoplogs, reviews en vooral veel looks verwachten!

We hebben er erg veel zin in! Omdat ik (Silke) nog steeds vakantie heb en Veerle nog werkt, zullen er meer posts van mij verschijnen maar Veerle neemt zeker mee deel aan de challenge. We willen ze immers samen halen!

Ben je benieuwd of heb je verzoeken over bepaalde productreviews, favoriete producten of looks? Laat het ons zeker weten!

Today Veerle & I decided to do the 30 day make-up challenge! It goes around in very different forms, so let me tell you how our challenge is going to work!

We have decided we are going to blog about make-up only (nothing really new there) for 30 days in a row! Not just one or two posts a week, but 7 in a week for 30 days!

You can expect hauls, reviews, favourites and lots of looks!

We are very excited about this! Because I (Silke) am on school break while Veerle is still working, you will see more of my posts but Veerle is definitely joining in on the challenge, as we want to complete this together!

If you have any requests about looks you want to see, favourites or productreviews, let us know!

We hope to see you every day on our blog, starting tomorrow!

Update: When life gets in the way...

Update

Hi iedereen!

Als je een vaste bezoeker bent hier op onze blog, heb je het vast al door… We 've been slacking… Even een update'je van wat er gebeurd in onze levens en waarom we zo weinig posten.

De laatste tijd is het ongelooflijk druk. Zowel Veerle als ik weten niet waar eerst aan beginnen.

Veerle heeft sinds september een nieuwe job in Brussel, wat enorm lange reistijden van en naar het werk betekend. We're talking up at 6 am, back home at 7.30 pm.  Iedereen weet dat het dan nog moeilijk is om je helemaal op te maken, foto's te maken en/of  reviews te schrijven. Daarnaast is ze nu geveld door een keelontsteking en een maagontsteking als gevolg van de medicijnen.


Wat mij betreft, het is een zottenkot. 
Ik studeer kleuteronderwijs aan de hogeschool, iedereen die deze richting volgt, weet dat het werk zich blijft opstapelen.
Begin november heb ik driedaagse stage gehad, wat veel voorbereiding inhoudt. Nadien was het werken aan taken en voorbereiden voor alweer een volgende stage: in de tweede week van december doe ik een week aan een stuk stage in de eerste kleuterklas.
Dit betekent: lesvoorbereidingen maken, knutselen, materialen kopen en verzamelen, … 

Daarbovenop heb ik een ontsteking aan mijn luchtpijp die kan vorderen tot bronchitis. Mijn lichaam zegt me dat ik moet rusten, maar met al het schoolwerk is dit gewoon niet mogelijk.
Ik denk dat het daarom nog weinig uitleg vraagt waarom ik niet toekom aan het schrijven van blogposts.
In de tijd die ik vrij heb, doe ik mijn best, daarom zie je hier en daar nog wel een artikel verschijnen.

Misschien is dit een goed moment om te vragen aan jullie, wat zou je graag zien op deze blog?

Here's a little update of what is happening in our lives…

Veerle has been sick for the last 1.5 week. First a throat infection and now a stomach infection.
She also has a new job, in wich she has to travel for hours between work and home, which makes it hard to take pictures and write reviews once she - finally-  is home (all you want to do then is just eat and go to sleep).

Me, I am working my butt off for school. 

I have a preschool internship 

which requires lots of preparations and time in general.

I also have  an throat infection. 

 

Conclusion: my body is telling me to slow down, 

but it seems that I don't have the time to take a breath.

I'm doing my best to post something on here when I have a little time, 

but I can't promise you anything.

Maybe this is a good time to ask you what you want to see next on the blog? Any requests?

UPDATE: How to survive the flue...

Summer is officially over...en ik zal het geweten hebben! Ik heb al een dikke week de griep (daarom geen posts van mij deze week) en spijtig genoeg zit m'n dearest nichtje er nu ook mee. Daarom een kleine survival-blog: de must-haves tijdens een herfstgriepje ;)
